Old Business
· MS Dodgeball Tournament was well attended and profit was approximately $650.
· MS Lip Sync was cancelled due to lack of participation. 9 kids originally signed up, however several dropped out when they were called for rehearsal. It was agreed that next year this event would be advertised as a Talent Show.
· Much discussion was held in regard to the raffle held to support the Afterglows. The raffle sales were a success, but the tickets/letter were not allowed to go with a school mailing. The cost to mail was $600, severely cutting in to the profits. Several ideas were suggested including contacting the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce to mail the raffles in bulk, begin to sell the raffles at the Prom Fashion Show, and distributing the raffles in school. Dave Collins will investigate for next year.
New Business
· Middle School Book Fair is in progress. The Friday session was in danger of being cancelled due to difficulty finding volunteers , however 2 people stepped forward.
· Middle School Awards meeting was held tonight and a 6th Grade Team is in place. Vern Aldershoff has volunteered to print all the certificates for every grade. Solicitation letters have already been distributed to the teachers.
· Senior Breakfast – Dave Collins requested that the time of the breakfast be moved as the seniors will be going to Proctor’s on a bus at noon to rehearse. It was agreed that start up time would be 9:30am. Dave will provide an outline of activities for the morning in his mailing home.
· 2009-2010 Calendar was distributed and will be submitted by May 15 as requested. Some of these dates will certainly be changed as this is a very early request for a 1st pass.
· Sari Medick volunteered as Fundraising Chairperson for 2009-2010.
· The 2009-2010 Slate of Officers was proposed and passed unanimously. The slate is:
Betsy Glasser and Deb Ploetz – Co-Presidents
Colleen Kayser and Murphy Miller – Co-Vice Presidents
Joanne Robustiano – Treasurer
Kelly Blanchard – Corresponding Secretary
Amy Sacchetti – Recording Secretary
Meeting was adjourned at 8:13pm.
Respectfully submitted,
